Where the Marc Jacobs bag range stands in 2026
Named families, not one wall of leather, are what the US site gives you. 312 styles in all hang off the navigation headings The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, The Scene, Crossbody Bags, Mini Bags, Shoulder Bags and Totes. Ownership changed on 1 September 2026, when WHP Global and G-III Apparel Group purchased the brand from LVMH, with Marc Jacobs remaining as Founder and Creative Director. A quirk worth knowing: the site labels every price “SALE PRICE,” including full-price stock, so a bag is only truly reduced when a “REGULAR PRICE” shows beside it. All figures here are US dollars on marcjacobs.com in the US as of September 2026, and prices change by country and change without notice. “marc jacob” is marc jacobs small tote bag a common search, but the label is Marc Jacobs, plural.
The Tote Bag
Drawn from archival designs, the flagship family launched in 2019, and it holds 105 styles today. The positioning is plain from the framing line the brand attributes to Jacobs, “No more Birkins, only Tote Bags”. A wide rectangle with rounded top handles is the form, with the name in oversized block letters, debossed on leather and closed by a top zip. The Canvas Medium measures 13in by 6in by 11in in cotton canvas, with one interior zip pocket and two slip pockets. The Canvas Large does not include the removable adjustable webbing strap that Crossbody, Small and Medium carry, which is easy to miss. Canvas lands at about $150, $178, $198 and $228 by size, jacquard at about $325 and $350, and full-grain leather at about $398, $498 and $598. The cheapest route to a recognizable marc jacobs handbag is this line, so students and commuters come here first.
The Snapshot
Thirty styles deep, this is the bag most people picture when they hear the name. Modeled on a camera bag, it was dreamt up in a Parisian studio, the brand says, and debuted on the runway. Small and boxy at 7in by 2in by 4in, it wears tricolor colorblocking and the signature double-J hardware. A 27in drop on the removable webbing strap, Saffiano leather with a faille lining and a dual top zipper rather than a flap describe it. Core styles sit at about $325 to $328, including the Snapshot DTM and the Colorblock Chain Snapshot, while the Vintage Floral version and Snapshot E/W Shoulder Bag sit near $358. It suits someone carrying a phone, cards and a lipstick who wants the bag noticed.
The Scene
The Scene is the most recent family to win its own slot in the navigation, and it holds 70 styles. This is a group rather than a shape: Small, Medium and Large Shoulder Bags, two Buckets, a Convertible Mini, a Chain Mini and a Wallet on Chain. Leather, crinkle leather, suede and denim leave this line the widest material spread of any here. Because carry sits on the shoulder, or on a slim metal chain for the chain versions, these are not top-handle bags. The Scene Convertible Mini Bag starts things near $198, with the Scene Wallet on Chain near $228. $298 buys the Scene Small Shoulder Bag and $358 the Scene Small Bucket, with the band topping out near $698 for the Scene Large Shoulder Bag. Anyone who wants something softer and far less logo-forward than the Tote will find it here.
The Sack Bag
What the brand calls a slouchy throw-over-your-shoulder silhouette in premium leather, The Sack Bag debuted on the 2022 runway. Rather than holding a rectangle, it collapses against the body. A magnetic closure, an adjustable belted shoulder strap, an internal zip pocket, cotton twill lining and a 12in handle drop make up The Belted Sack Bag, the reference version in full-grain leather. The Micro Crossbody Sack Bag sits at the bottom near $198, then the Small Belted Sack Bag around $298 and a ceiling of $498. Bow-detailed denim and nylon come in seasonally at roughly $258 and $358, plus leopard nylon and canvas cargo versions near $398. Better for people who hate hardware fuss than for crowded transit, a magnet is quicker than a zip but less secure.
The Dual Bag
The Dual Bag has the most public origin story here and the thinnest current shelf presence. After its debut on the Fall ’23 runway, it first drew attention at the 2024 Met Gala after-party, the brand says, when Dua Lipa paired it with her look. The Spring 2025 campaign with Emily Ratajkowski was built around it, and it returned in Summer 2025 led by Doja Cat. Rather than the main assortment, the MARCDOWN sale section is mainly where it turns up as of 29 September 2026. A rare case here: The Large Dual Bag was listed around $297 against a regular price of about $495, with both prices on display. It suits a shopper who liked the campaign imagery and will buy from what remains rather than a full color run.
Structured totes: Cristina, Dakota, Babe and Pop J Marc
A Totes category of 47 structured styles and a Shoulder Bags category of 80 live separate from The Tote Bag on the site. These leather bags keep their shape, which the soft canvas carryalls do not. Around $658, The Grommet Charm Cristina Tote is filed under Shoulder Bags because it gets carried that way, while The Cristina Tote sits near $398. Nothing in the Totes category is dearer than The Dakota Tote at about $798. Babe stretches across three points, from the Babe Mini Vanity Bag near $178 to the Babe Mini Top Handle at roughly $298 and on to the Babe City Tote around $598. For a working week, the marc jacobs bags here are the Pop J Marc Work Tote at about $398 and, near $298, a Small Work Tote.
Heaven by Marc Jacobs
Ava Nirui art-directed Heaven from the start, the youth-facing sub-label launched in September 2020. By the brand’s description, it is a gateway into the sprawling and enigmatic omniverse of Marc Jacobs subversion. Bags run between roughly $150 and $250 and tees from around $65, across 153 products in all. Nothing but the canvas Tote offers a cheaper way into a marc jacobs bag. In stock now is a David Rappeneau Shoulder Bag near $175, an artist name carried on the product itself. With no successor named after Nirui’s exit, reported in January 2026, Heaven’s creative direction now is not brand-confirmed.

All the lines, side by side
Each current family is matched against its shape, its materials and the US price band shown on 29 September 2026 in the table. Across sizes and fabrications, the bands are ranges, not one price for one bag. Canvas and Heaven sit at the bottom, while leather and the largest Scene styles sit at the top. Price follows material more than size: the same medium Tote is about $198 in canvas and $498 in leather. The Dual Bag row shows a markdown, not a standing price. Figures here are US dollars on marcjacobs.com; they differ by country and currency and change without notice.

The lines the US site no longer carries, and people keep searching
Disappointment on the US site is where all four of these constantly searched names end up. A search returns jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, ready-to-wear and the Pop J Marc Work Tote instead, because the J Marc shoulder bag and saddle bag are not currently sold. The St. Marc is not carried in the current assortment either, and a search returns only a handful of Canal St apparel items. The Duffle is missing too, with no duffle bag in the results for that term. A Monogram tote rounds off the four, because the current canvas totes are plain cotton canvas with block-letter branding. All four are archive names rather than current marc jacobs bag lines, so be skeptical of sellers offering them as new stock. Items bought from an authorized vendor, with proof of purchase, are the only ones the one-year manufacturing-defect warranty covers.
